The Department of Youth has announced the opening of nominations for the 25 Most Remarkable Teen Awards for 2023.

The initiative is known for recognizing youth across the federation who have made positive contributions to society, have remarkable character and accomplishments. Award categories include: Academics, Courage to Overcome, Youth Activism, Leadership, Sports and Volunteerism. Potential nominees must be no older than 19 and no younger than 13 at the end of the year and must have demonstrated a strong capacity in the nominated area.

Successful nominees will then be required to participate in a 12-month capacity building and community services programme, plan and implement two volunteer projects during their year of service and will need to sign a confidentiality agreement as no mention of success should be done prior to the award ceremony.

Persons wishing to submit nominee applications can collect a form at all secondary schools or the Department of Youth in St. Kitts or Nevis. The deadline for applications is May 26th, 2023.
