Wear something WHITE today!

“We continue to experience some instances of ‘Bullying’ especially in our schools”, words from Nevis’ Premier, Hon. Mark Brantley.

During his monthly press conference on Tuesday, the Premier shared that as a consequence, the Department of Youth here on Nevis is currently holding a Bullying Awareness Campaign until (today) October 30th.

Mr. Brantley added “Members of the public is asked to wear something white to visibly demonstrate solidarity, that as an island, as a people, we are 100 percent oppose to bullying of any kind. All of us need to feel welcome”.

Bullying is a deeply concerning issue that affects countless students, causing emotional distress and significantly impacting their overall well-being.

Anti-Bullying Awareness Month is observed every October.

The initiative serves as a rallying point for schools and communities to collectively commit to creating a safe and nurturing environment for all.
