Public Invited to Shape 2026 National Budget Through Upcoming Consultations
The Ministry of Finance, in partnership with the Cabinet Secretariat, is inviting the public to help shape the 2026 National Budget. Under the theme “Turning Conversations into Action: Building Our Sustainable Island State Together,” a series of consultations will be held to encourage dialogue between the government and citizens.
According to a release by the information service of St. Kitts and Nevis, SKNIS, the first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15th, at the Saddlers Primary School, starting at 6 p.m.
Two more sessions as well as a national forum will follow, with information on the dates, times and location to be shared soon.
These consultations will aim to gather input from community members, organizations, and the private sector to guide national priorities and fiscal planning for the upcoming year.
The government emphasizes that these public engagements are vital for ensuring transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance.
Also, officials say this process reinforces their commitment to building a sustainable and resilient island state through partnership with all stakeholders.
