Queen Independent, the 2023 Sugar Mas Calypso Monarch competing in the Queen of Queens Regional Calypso Show in Montserrat.

The show tool place on Monday, December 30^th and saw calypsonians hailing from St Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada and host, Montserrat. 

 Queen Independent’s performance saw her snag the 2^nd runner up position with her pieces, Look Inside the Home and Suggestion with 1142 points.

The winner and reigning monarch was Terri Lyons with Black and Ugly and Ask Yuh Man, 1268 points and 1^st runner up Karene Asche with Competition and No Excuse, who scored 1,246, both hailing from Trinidad and Tobago.
