Residents on the north western side of St. Kitts experiences hail from passing thunderstorm on Thursday
A number of persons residing in the north western side of St. Kitts woke up last Thursday to find hail on their property. Hail is a form of precipitation consisting of solid ice that forms inside a thunderstorm updraft.
Although not common in the federation, hail is probable in the Caribbean in specific conditions, this is according to Senior Meteorological Officer at the St. Kitts MET Office, Mr. Elmo Burke:
