As the world still grapples with the high prices of goods and services due to a number of crises across the globe, discussions continue on the increased price of construction goods, particularly for residents of St. Kitts and Nevis.
During a panel discussion on the Let’s Talk Programme, the panelists spoke on the issue a number of homeowners are seeing when purchasing such goods and alternate measures that should be considered in reducing such costs.
One suggestion made regarding the acquirement of sand, was to rethink the policy made on Nevis in regards to Sand Mining. One point made was if changes were made to the policy to accommodate a level of mining, sand could be cheaper to the Nevisian consumer. Here was one panelist, Mr. Conrad “Niah” Liburd:
