Sources have confirmed to the VONNEWSLINE that a robbery occurred on Wednesday evening November 2nd, in the Beach Road area, Nevis. Details remain sketchy but we will provide more as they become available.

As of late, several house break-ins have occurred in the Newcastle area and in the Cotton Ground District, according to Inspector Alonzo Carty of the Charlestown Police Station.

Furthermore, police confirmed to the VONNEWSLINE that the home of an elderly woman was broken into recently. Mr. Carty mentioned that coming on the heels of the incidents “additional patrolling has been put in place.”

This prompted an appeal from a concerned citizen who lives in the St. James’ Parish, who urged all to be on the lookout considering the upcoming festive season.
