Following a Rockfall at the Old Road Bay Road, in St. Kitts, a temporary diversion of traffic has been put in place.

According to a release from the Government, the decision for the diversion became necessary, after Rockfall from the hillside injured persons in a passenger bus on Friday Aug. 21st.

Further Rockfall has taken place due to the passage of Tropic Storm Laura and poses further danger to persons.

Motorists in St. Kitts are also advised that the temporary diversion will enable a new road to be constructed, in the same vicinity.

Persons are asked to exercise extreme caution on the road, by driving slowly.
