RSCNPF Leadership Strengthens Global Ties Against Transnational Crime

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) continues to affirm its commitment to global security cooperation. Commissioner of Police, James Sutton and Assistant Commissioner, James Francis recently represented the Federation at two major international security conferences focused on combatting transnational organised crime.

From August 26th to 28th, 2025, Commissioner Sutton attended the International Drug Enforcement Commanders Conference (IDEC) in Nashville, Tennessee. Under the theme “Global Unity for a Safer Future,” discussions explored counter-narcotics efforts, cybercrime, money laundering, block chain investigations, and forensic intelligence. Caribbean-focused sessions also highlighted regional collaboration.

Shortly after, from September 2nd to 3rd, both senior officers participated in a high-level international forum in Taipei, Taiwan, addressing telecom fraud, human trafficking, cyber threats, and illicit financial flows.

Commissioner Sutton emphasized the value of global partnerships, stating, “The knowledge gained, and the partnerships reinforced, will further strengthen our collective efforts to safeguard our borders, disrupt criminal networks, and protect our communities from the scourge of drugs and organised crime.”

According to a release from the RSCNPF its participation underscored its resolve “to advance security locally, regionally, and internationally through collaboration, intelligence sharing, and the adoption of best practices.”
