The federal government has officially undergone the sale of Christophe Harbour in St. Kitts to Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC.
Safe Harbor owns and operates the world’s largest boating network. According to Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew the sale signals a new chapter for the Southeast Peninsula, featuring major investments, expanded marina infrastructure, and nearly EC $25 million in direct payments to key public institutions.
PM Drew, who is also the Minister of Finance, emphasized that the move aligns with the government’s Sustainable Island State Agenda, and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparency, good governance, and economic transformation.
Following the renovation work and full operation at Christophe Harbour, the marina is expected to be able to house 32 mega yachts, each averaging 60 meters in length and well as constructing a desalination plant to provide all fresh water supply by November 2025. Here is Prime Minister Drew:
