Sandy Point Mocko Jumbies, Valon’s International Masquerades and SKN Bulls – the Champions of the Folk Galore Competition

Another fixture of the National Bank Group of Companies Folk Galore Competition took place on December 18th, at the Bay Road in Basseterre, St. Kitts featuring the three categories of mixed, masqueraders and bulls.

 

For the mixed competition, the Sandy Point Mocko Jumbies took the crown with 331 points followed by the St. Peter’s Actors and St. Peter’s Clown in the 1st runner up and second runner up positions respectively with 311 and 307 points.

 

In the masquerading category the Valon’s International Masquerades achieved a 4 peat win with 327 points topping their competitors David Dynasty Masqueraders out of Nevis with 311 points and the Tarrow’s Masquerade scoring 221.

 

Finally, for the bulls, SKN Bulls with 389 points were the clear winners over the Monkey Hill Bulls scoring 376 points. The Camp Culture Bulls took the second runner up spot with 323 points.

 

The competition was all a part of the action for Sugarmas 54.
