Saundia Mitcham- Glasgow form Cayon has been dubbed the “In Ya Kitchen Community Top Chef 2022”.
Sixteen (16) contestants from across the federation has showcased their skills of preparing locally grown foods in four competitions. The 4 finalists of those competitions competed against each other on Saturday August 21st, in the ‘In Ya Kitichen’ competition finals at the FIRE Restaurant in the Marriott Resort in St Kitts.
Mrs. Michan Glasgow won with a total of 845 points with her dish a Beet Taco paired with a Beet cake and a Beet trifle cup with beet and coconut cream sauce, beet compote and beet cake, topped with beet shavings.
The First runner up amassing 814 points was Lesronya Thompson from Sandy Point, the second runner up amassing 748 points was Jeanette Warner from Nevis and the third runner up amassing 680 points was Ras. Judah (say: Fah- rai) Fari from Basseterre.
The ‘In Ya Kitchen’ (IYK) program that aims to teach persons to prepare and consume simple, delicious, and healthy meals to promote healthy eating.
