SEDU Entrepreneurship Fund to kick start in January 2020

Taiwanese Ambassador to St. Kitts and Nevis His Excellency Tom Lee on Wednesday 4th December paid a courtesy call to the Small Enterprise Development Unit (SEDU) here on Nevis.

 

Business Counselling and Marketing Officer at SEDU Ms. Rhonda Thompson spoke to the VONNEWSLINE about Ambassador Lee’s visit.

 

 

Premier of Nevis and Minister of Finance in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) the Hon. Mark Brantley launched an Entrepreneurship Fund on November 20th 2019 during a symposium held by SEDU.

 

The NIA with the assistance of Taiwan secured some EC $5 million dollars which will be used for the fund.  According to Premier Brantley the money will be lent at a nominal interest rate, of no more than three or four percent.

 

She explained that the unit is putting procedures in place for the commencement of the project.
