Semi Airborne Geological Survey Results are “Promising” as hunt for water continues

Assistant Engineer at the Water Services Department-St. Kitts, Mr. Landrith Isaac, spoke of recent activities to address the water shortage problems in St. Kitts, during the latest InFocus Programme.

 

 

 

In May 2025, a semi airborne geophysical survey was launched to aid in identifying potential spots for wells and improve water security. Mr. Isaac discussed the process:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another benefit is that it is time effective, collecting data in a much shorter time than other methods. The survey was done in several areas:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Landrith Isaac. In addition, a drilling company has already been selected and contract details are being sorted for the next step of the project, after the report of the survey is completed.
