Five female Calypsonians will make up the seven finalists who have earned their place in the Carib Senior Calypso Monarch Finals to compete against the reigning Monarch, Queen Independent. It comes as the semi-finals were held last Thursday. The competition will take place on Friday Dec. 27^th, at Carnival Village.

This, according to the St. Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC), “the impressive roster…reflects a notable shift in power dynamics within the finals.”

The Senior Calypso Finals lineup includes the following:- Queen Independent – the reigning Calypso Monarch, Big Lice, Drewzy, Lady Carens, Queen Kibi, Issa Kamal, Queen Singing Jackie and Lady Diva.

Meantime, the Miss St. Kitts and Nevis contestants graced the stage during their Swimsuit Showcase on Dec. 8^th, officially kicking off this year’s pageant. The contestants will continue their journey in the remaining segments of the Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Pageant on Thursday, December 19^th. Koscab St. Kitts Ltd. has stepped forward as a Gold Sponsor for Sugar Mas 53, as the company has donated $30,000 to the SKNNCC. In addition to being a gold sponsor, Koscab is sponsoring Miss Vanessa Simon, representing Coca Cola, in this year’s Miss St. Kitts & Nevis Queen Pageant.

Elsewhere, Country Manager of the Republic Bank St. Kitts & Nevis, Mrs. Pamella Herbert Daniel recently hosted the contestants of The Republic Bank Miss Teen SKN as well as the reigning Teen Queen to a Paint & Sip Funday (by Vaughn Anslyn) at the Four Seasons Resort, Nevis. The Miss Teen SKN pageant will be held on Tuesday Dec. 17^th, at 7PM, at the Carnival Village.
