Sometime after 2am on Thursday 29th July, gunshots rang out in the upper Government Road area in Nevis.

Investigations revealed that 27 year old Devon Parris was shot multiple times.  He was rushed to the Alexandra Hospital by public transport and underwent emergency surgery. He is reported to be in stable condition.

The scene was processed by the members of the Nevis division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis police force where items of evidential value were collected.
