Lawmen are investigating a shooting incident which occurred on Thursday Jan. 23^rd.

Police responded to reports of a gunshot being heard in the Anglican Church yard in Basseterre, St. Kitts.

A police spokesperson told the VONNEWSLINE that it appeared that someone was shooting at some birds in the church yard with a pellet gun — there was an injured bird on the ground bearing evidence of such.

The matter is being further investigated to ascertain who and why this was taking place.
