Sick pregnant mothers to benefit from Children’s Fund, PM Drew says

Prime Minister and Federal Minister of Health, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew announced on Oct. 17th, that the Children’s Medical Fund has now been extended to sick pregnant mothers.

 

PM Drew made the announcement in a post on his Facebook page. He added “we have had tremendous success with our Children’s Medical Fund, as no child between 1-4 died in 2023.”

In light of this, the extension of the fund to assist sick pregnant women was proclaimed.

 

The Children’s Medical Fund was implemented by the current Drew-led administration to assist any child 18 and under, by providing care for children who need lifesaving medical attention abroad.

 

It is opened to all citizens, in both St. Kitts and Nevis. Parents of children seeking assistance are asked to obtain a referral from the doctor and for more information, contact the PM’s office at 465-2521.
