Six Water storage tanks commissioned at six schools here on Nevis
Minister of Environment and Water Services here on Nevis, the Hon. Spencer Brand, officially commissioned six 1000-gallon water storage tanks at six educational institutions on Nevis during a ceremony at the Charlestown Secondary School on Tuesday, October 20th, 2020.
The VONNEWSLINE spoke with Minister Brand and gave us the rationale behind the project:
This is also part of a water security project funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC), Global Environmental Fund, United Nations Environmental Program, Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Nevis Island Administration (NIA).
The recipient schools on Nevis are the Charlestown Pre, Charlestown Primary, St. James’ Primary, Ivor Walters Primary, Cecele Browne Integrated and Charlestown Secondary schools.
