SJCIC Kite Flying Competition held on Good Friday

The St. John’s Community Improvement Club (SJCIC) held its annual Kite Flying Competition during the Easter Weekend on Good Friday at The Flats in Cole Hill, Nevis.

 

 

 

The event saw a number of persons on the island partake in the local Easter tradition of kite flying whether for fun or the intention to win the competition. The affair included a number of categories namely: Most Creative, Best Designed, Biggest, Best Flying and Best Book Leaf Kites.

 

 

 

The winners for the various groups were, Most Creative, first place – Clayton Byron, second place – Arthur Farrell, Best Designed, first and second place- Andre Arthurton, Biggest kite, first and second place – Bernard Browne Jr., Best Flying kite, first place – Arthur Farrell, second place- Gino Liburd and Best Book Leaf, first place – Kejun Reede.
