After weeks of hard work in Jamaica, the crews from SKELEC and NEVLEC have returned home. They collaborated with regional partners through the CARILEC Disaster Assistance Programme (CDAP) to help restore power after Hurricane Melissa severely damaged the island’s electricity network.

In a social media post SKELEC made this statement, “This mission was more than restoring power—it was about restoring hope. By standing together as Caribbean nations, we prove that unity makes us stronger in the face of natural disasters.”.

“We are proud of their commitment and sacrifice,” the statement concluded welcoming the workers home and celebrated their hard work and dedication.
