Winners of the Intra-Country portion of a Regional Schools Investment Competition were recently announced, with St. Kitts & Nevis among that group.
The competition is a collaborative effort of the ECSE (Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange), the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission and licensed broker-dealers and it aims to excite and inspire young people to learn more about investing and to create a pathway for young investors to become active market participants in the future.
It also serves as a way to introduce high school and first-year college students to invest and more specifically to invest via the ECSE. The initiative provides the opportunity for students to experience securities market activity firsthand.
The winners of the Intra-Country portion of the competition held over the 27th February through 3rd March period are: St. Kitts & Nevis’ Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, and different schools representing the following islands, namely: Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
