Cuba is reeling from worsening fuel shortages, prolonged electricity blackouts and growing concerns over access to food and critical medical supplies.

The crisis in the island has deepened following fresh US measures aimed at tightening enforcement of the 64-year-old blockade. This includes an executive order imposing tariffs on countries that supply oil to Cuba.

But considering that St. Kitts & Nevis have nationals studying in Cuba, how are they doing? What has the Federal Government said about the matter?

SKN’s Prime Minister and Cuban alumnus, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, stated that the situation is being monitored.
