SKN Continues to voice its Support for the Republic of China (Taiwan) in International Affairs

“Taiwan has the innovation, technology, knowledge and expertise to make a tremendous impact on some of the world’s most urgent issues.”

That statement was made by Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, et. al., the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas. He was reaffirming Saint Kitts and Nevis’ continued support to the Republic of China (Taiwan) in its bid to participate in international organizations such as the United Nations, World Health Organization and International Civil Aviation Organization.

Minister Douglas is leading a delegation on a diplomatic trip to deepen the partnership between St. Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan to create opportunities for cooperation and investment in renewable energy.

President of the Republic of China (Taiwan) expressed gratitude for the federation’s support and also voiced Taiwan’s support for the nation’s Sustainable Island State Agenda (SISA).

He stated, “I also believe that by having Taiwan share its experiences in renewable energy and energy-saving technologies, our two countries will jointly drive green industrial transformation and stimulate sustainable development together.”
