The St. Kitts and Nevis COVID-19 tracking application (app) is ready to be launched ahead of the re-opening of the country’s borders, according to Chief Medical Officer – Dr. Hazel Laws. 

Dr. Laws informed the public on Wednesday, October 8^th that the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, is in the process of putting the necessary legal framework in place for the mandatory implementation of the new COVID-19 tracking application for persons entering the Federation. 

Once launched, all incoming travelers would be required to upload the National COVID-19 Mobile Application on their cellular devices. 

Dr. Laws explains the procedure each traveler will undergo upon entry into the federation:

The clinical feature in the app would allow for sick or infected persons to report their symptoms and, they in turn, would receive a check-up from health officials.

This will allow for easy contact tracing by health officials.
