St. Kitts and Nevis has joined the rest of world in observance of World Post Day 2020.
World Post Day is celebrated each year on October 9th, the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in the Swiss Capital, Bern.
The aim of the day is to create awareness of the role of the postal sector in people and businesses in their everyday lives and its contribution to the social and economic development of countries.
In his address to mark the day, Federal Minister of Posts, the Hon. Shawn Richards, spoke of the theme:
