Under the global theme of “Empowering Consumers Through Clean Energy Transitions”, St. Kitts and Nevis has joined the rest of the world on Wednesday March 15th, to celebrate World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD).
WCRD was introduced in 1983 by Consumer International, the global voice for consumer protection. The day is celebrated annually on March 15th, as a means of raising global awareness about consumer rights and needs.
During an address on March 12th, Senior Minister and Federal Minister of Consumer Affairs, Dr. Denzil Douglas, made these remarks about the theme:
