Prime Minister, the Hon. Terrance Drew has pledged continued government intervention to shield citizens from rising global fuel prices and their impact on the cost of living.

Speaking at a Cabinet-wide press conference on March 30^th, 2026, Dr. Drew acknowledged that external market forces due the conflict in the Middle East are driving fuel price increases, with direct consequences for small island economies like Saint Kitts and Nevis.
