St. Kitts and Nevis has joined the region in celebrating CARICOM Energy Month 2025 under the theme “Invest, Innovate, Sustain: Leading the Charge in Renewable Energy Frontiers”.

Federal Minister of Energy, the Hon. Konris Maynard, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a sustainable energy future.

In an address, he highlighted the SKN 100 initiative a national roadmap guiding the Federation toward 100% renewable energy generation and advances renewable energy and efficiency projects across public buildings, develops an integrated utility model, and lays the groundwork for an independent energy regulator and updated national energy policy.

Minister Maynard also announced the launch of these initiatives in November:
