That was the voice of Deputy Director of the International Tsunami Information Center – Caribbean Office located in Puerto Rico (ITIC-CAR), Mrs. Christa Von Hillebrandt-Andrade.
During the ‘Youth on the Go’ Program, Mrs. Von Hillebrandt-Andrade spoke on the federation’s steady involvement in the global Tsunami Preparedness Campaign. According to the deputy director, St. Kitts and Nevis (SKN) first joined the initiative in 2016 and recently updated its status to stay abreast of all new systems and means of communicating to the public of what to do in the event if disaster strikes.
She also spoke on additional measures that can be done in SKN and urged the federation to continue its work on disaster preparedness:
