SKN ranks 3rd on global list of most expensive travel destinations in 2025

St. Kitts & Nevis has ranked # 3 on a list of the world’s most expensive travel destinations for 2025, from HelloSafe.

HelloSafe is an international online platform that compares insurance and financial products, aiming to help users make informed decisions by providing free, anonymous, and instant comparison tools and expert content.

SKN emerged as the 3rd most expensive country for tourists, with an average daily budget of approximately USD $275 per person.

The study evaluated the average daily expenditure of travelers in 131 countries, taking into account four main categories: accommodation, food, local transport, and tourist activities. Notably, the cost of getting to each destination – such as international airfare – was not included in the analysis. Barbados and Antigua & Barbuda are placed 1st and 2nd respectively.

Meanwhile, St. Kitts & Nevis has also been ranked among the 10 richest countries in the Caribbean, placing sixth with a GDP per capita at US$20,000, in 2024.

The ranking was compiled from recent economic data by Global Citizen Solutions ranking SKN as #8, Mirabello Consultant also ranking SKN at #8 and Best Citizenship ranked SKN #10. The platforms said “St. Kitts and Nevis boasts one of the world’s longest-standing citizenship by investment programs, with several options available. The twin-island country is underpinned by political stability and a well-established government.”
