“The Minimum Wage has officially increased here in St. Kitts and Nevis which took effect on July 1^st, 2025 with now an hourly rate of EC $12.50” this is according to the Department of Labour.

The VON NEWSLINE spoke to Senior Labour Officer 1 on Nevis, Ms. Shaniele Skeete who provided more details:

In sensitizing the general public, the department has sort to use additional avenues regarding the increase:

Ms. Skeete explained that the increase will include both full-time and part-time employees and urged all employers to adhere to the new change as it is law to comply with the rule.
