Police are investigating a road fatality that occurred on Wednesday Nov. 13^th, in Keys Village, St. Kitts, that claimed the life of Joyeclyn Straun of Keys Village.

Based on preliminary inquiries, while crossing the road, Ms. Straun was struck by a vehicle travelling from Basseterre’s direction. She was shortly thereafter transported via ambulance to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

An investigation into the matter is now in progress. Police said “the general public will be kept appropriately abreast of its developments.” The number of Road fatalities now stands at 4 for 2024.

The last road fatality victim was Shaquan Bridgewater of New Road Housing, St. Kitts, after he succumbed to injuries he sustained in a vehicle accident, on Thursday July 25^th.
