The Federal Ministry of Health officially welcomed a new cohort of Ghanaian nurses to the healthcare fraternity of Saint Kitts and Nevis on Monday Aug. 10th.
The occasion formally marked the nurses’ integration into the Federation’s healthcare system and underscored the Government’s continued efforts to strengthen the health workforce and ensure that patients have access to efficient and quality care.
The welcome ceremony was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Health-St. Kitts, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew; Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley; Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Curtis Martin; and members of the leadership of the Joseph N. France General Hospital.
Following the ceremony, Prime Minister Drew led a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially reopen the refurbished Private Ward at the Joseph N. France General Hospital.
