SKN welcomes New Cuban Ambassador

Saint Kitts and Nevis has welcomed a new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Saint Kitts and Nevis. 

 

A release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of St. Kitts and Nevis has published news of its recent reception of His Excellency, Giuvel Orozco Ortega, the new Cuban Ambassador during a courtesy visit to Permanent Secretary Ms. Kaye Bass on 12th November 2025.

 

Ms. Bass, stood in place of the Foreign Affairs Minister, the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas while he is abroad on official duties.

 

 A warm welcome was extended to Ambassador Ortega as well as the Foreign Affairs Ministry regard for the longstanding and mutually beneficial relationship between the two countries, established on May 10th, 1995.

 

His Excellency Giuvel Orozco Ortega succeeds His Excellency David Perez who served from 2022 to 2025.
