Saint Kitts and Nevis has welcomed a new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Saint Kitts and Nevis. 

A release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of St. Kitts and Nevis has published news of its recent reception of His Excellency, Giuvel Orozco Ortega, the new Cuban Ambassador during a courtesy visit to Permanent Secretary Ms. Kaye Bass on 12^th November 2025.

Ms. Bass, stood in place of the Foreign Affairs Minister, the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas while he is abroad on official duties.

 A warm welcome was extended to Ambassador Ortega as well as the Foreign Affairs Ministry regard for the longstanding and mutually beneficial relationship between the two countries, established on May 10^th, 1995.

His Excellency Giuvel Orozco Ortega succeeds His Excellency David Perez who served from 2022 to 2025.
