SKNDF has Subject Matter Expert Exchange with Virgin Islands National Guard
The St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) teamed up with the Virgin Islands National Guard (VING) for a Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) on Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HA/DR) Logistics & Sustainment from May 26th to 29th.
Along with partners from The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, NEMA – National Emergency Management Agency SKN, St. Kitts and Nevis Red Cross Society Headquarters, St Kitts Fire and Rescue Services, and Ministry of Social Development, the exchange focused on boosting emergency response and disaster readiness.
Major Kai Calwood and the VING team toured NEMA HQ, Fire & Rescue HQ, and a local emergency shelter, offering hands-on assessments and valuable advice to strengthen our national response systems. As hurricane season approaches, the SKNDF states that it remains committed to preparedness, resilience, and collaboration for a safer St. Kitts & Nevis.
