SKNDF issues statement following wounding incident

St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) issued a statement, following the Mar. 30th wounding incident at Camp Springfield, in St. Kitts, between two of its Privates (or soldiers).

 

It states: “an altercation at Camp Springfield between two members of the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force resulted in one soldier being wounded with a knife. The injury is not life-threatening; the injured soldier was treated at the Joseph N. France General Hospital and later discharged.”

 

It said “the unfortunate and regrettable incident is being investigated internally by the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force in accordance military regulations.”

 

Police confirmed to the VONNEWSLINE that the male soldier (male) was treated at the JNF General Hospital.

 

The Force expressed its commitment to “serving the Federation with dedication and thank the populace for its understanding and support.”
