SKNLP urges Team Unity Gov’t to seek assistance from overseas

In the midst of the Coronavirus Disease outbreak which has been declared a pandemic, Leader of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), Dr. the Hon. Denzil Douglas, has urged the Team Unity-led Administration to seek aid from overseas.

 

On Thursday, March 12th 2020, during the party’s Press Conference, SKNLP’s candidate for Constituency #8 in St. Kitts, Dr. Terrance Drew, made a similar plea to the Government, to seek the assistance from Cuba.

Cases of the virus have been recorded in Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, French Guiana, Montserrat, Barbados, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, St. Barthelemy, Grenada, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Martin, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Puerto Rico, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela,  Jamaica and the US Virgin Islands.

 

Four persons in the Caribbean have died so far from the virus.
