SKNLP’s Leader questions early announcement of 4th annual Double salary

What does the early announcement of a 4th consecutive double salary here in St. Kitts & Nevis mean?

At a National Consultation on the Federation’s Economy, on Tuesday Oct. 8th, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, stated that “for the 5th year in a row, we are having economic growth”. In addition, he noted that because of the how the Government has been managing the country’s finance; a double salary will be paid to all government employees.

Despite the announcement of a 4th double salary, the Opposition St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), has questioned this. Leader of the SKNLP, is Dr. the Hon. Denzil Douglas.

At the Party’s press conference earlier this month, Dr. Douglas also made this comment.
