SKNRA Making History in the Dutch Caribbean

A Memorandum of Understanding was recently signed between the St. Kitts and Nevis Robotics Association and the Gwendoline Van Putten School (GVP) in the Dutch Caribbean Island of St. Eustatius.

It was done under the authority of the OECS Robotics Association (OECSRA) which endeavors to foster technological innovation across the Eastern Caribbean.

This robotics club dubbed the “GVP Pioneers Robotics Club” is the first of its kind in St. Eustatius and aims to educate its members in areas of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) as well as coding and robotics.

The MOU was signed by Chairlady of the Foundation for Promotion of Secondary Education at GVP School, Mrs. Clarsina Rivers – Berkel and Founder of OECSRA and SKNRA, Dr. Ricardo Neil who stated: “This is a monumental step not just for St. Eustatius but for the entire region. The GVP Pioneer Robotics Club will be a beacon of opportunity, demonstrating how robotics and STEAM education can transform communities and inspire young minds.”
