SKN’s Byron Messia earns grammy win for contribution to Chris Brown’s 11:11 Album
St. Kitts and Nevis’ rising star, Byron Messia, made history by winning a Grammy as an artist on Chris Brown’s “11:11” (Deluxe) album, which won the award for Best R&B Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.
Messia, birth name Dylan Byron, known for his distinct dancehall style, contributed to the track ‘Nightmares’ on the deluxe edition of 11:11.
He stated on social media “You made it happen for all of us…1st Grammy. [St Kitts] See it Dey. God almighty is He.” The Grammy win is a significant achievement for both Byron Messia and SKN.
Messia gained mainstream recognition following the commercial release of his single “Talibans” in 2023. A remix of the song was made featuring Burna Boy and that peaked at number 99 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It also received gold certification by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
