SKN’s Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew and Prime Minister of Sint Maarten, Hon. Dr. Luc Mercelina, engaged in a bilateral meeting.
The leaders addressed key regional issues, including climate change and healthcare, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in tackling these pressing challenges during their discussions.
A major focus of the meeting was deepening the relationship between St. Kitts and Nevis and Sint Maarten by fostering closer ties between their respective tourism authorities. It is the Federal Government’s expectation that by establishing closer ties, travel and business interactions between the islands will become more seamless.
The meeting reinforced the strong and growing partnership between St. Kitts and Nevis and Sint Maarten, with both leaders reaffirming their dedication to regional cooperation, economic resilience, and sustainable development.
PM Drew said on social media following the meeting, “we engaged in a productive bilateral meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration between both countries.”
