SKN’s PM Dr. Terrance Drew was among the Prime Minister present at the inauguration ceremony of St. Lucia’s Phillip Pierre, who is now serving a 2^nd term as Prime Minister.

PM Drew said “I was privileged to attend the swearing-in ceremony of my friend, colleague and comrade, Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre of Saint Lucia. I later joined him in East Castries where the bond between him and his people was clear and deeply moving. I was honoured to share a few words.”

He mentioned on social media “I warmly congratulate him and the Saint Lucia Labour Party on a very convincing victory. I wish him every success, knowing that his success is also Saint Lucia’s and the SLP’s success.”

Phillip Pierre was sworn in on Friday as St. Lucia’s 12th prime minister. His St. Lucia Labour Party (SLP) secured 14 of the 17 seats in Parliament.
