Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, has issued a message of solidarity to the people and Government of Guyana, following the tragic ferry incident involving MV Barima on July 18^th.

“Like so many across our Caribbean region, I am deeply saddened by the tragic ferry incident in Guyana”, he said.

PM Drew added “my thoughts and prayers are with the people and Government of Guyana, especially the families who are anxiously waiting for news of their loved ones. I also keep in my prayers those who have been rescued and the courageous first responders.”

He mentioned that “the people and government of St. Kitts and Nevis stand with our brothers and sisters in Guyana, sharing in their sorrow and hoping for the best possible outcome for all those still unaccounted for.”
