In a new turn of events in the Politics in St. Kitts & Nevis, Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris, announced in an address on Tuesday afternoon (May 10^th) the removal of six (6) Ministers of Government, within his Team Unity coalition. PM Harris gave these details.

As such, the portfolios have been reassigned to the Honourables Wendy Phipps (added ministries: Tourism, Transport & Ports), AG Vincent Byron Jr. (Foreign Affairs, Aviation, Education, Youth & Sports) and Akilah Byron-Nisbett (additional portfolio: culture). Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources and Environment will be brought under the Ministry of Sustainable Development.

The Team Unity coalition comprises of the People’s Action Movement (PAM), Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) and the People’s Labour Party (PLP). In light of the issues that have come to the fore, about undermining, promises not being kept and Nevis not receiving its “fair share” of the CBI’s monies, is this the end of Team Unity?
