Three of the SKN’s Political Leaders have issued statements, congratulating Cora Richardson-Hodge, who has now been sworn in as Anguilla’s first female Premier, following her party’s victory at Wednesday’s general elections.
Her Anguilla United Front (AUF) won eight of the 11 seats, beating outgoing Premier, Dr Ellis Webster’s Anguilla Progressive Movement (APM).
Nevis Reformation Party’s (NRP’s) Leader, the Hon. Janice Daniel-Hodge, who dubbed Richardson-Hodge’s victory as “historic”, said on social media on Thursday, “this moment marks not just a political victory but a significant milestone in the history of Anguilla, one that will inspire generations to come.”
People’s Action Movement (PAM’s) Leader, Mrs. Natasha Grey-Brookes, expressed “warmest congratulations” and stated via social media “your election as the first female premier marks a momentous occasion. Your leadership is a testament to your dedication and hard work. We’re excited to see the positive impact you’ll have.”
People’s Labour Party (PLP) Leader, the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris, congratulated Richardson-Hodge for her “leadership and the decisive mandate granted to her and the Anguilla United Front (AUF) by the electorate.”
