SKN’s Prime Minister to spearhead geothermal investment talks in the Middle East

Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, is working abroad until Friday, April 19th.

In his absence, Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley will assume the role of Acting Prime Minister.

A release from the Prime Minister’s Office says: “during this period, Prime Minister Drew has indicated that he will be meeting with several potential investors in the Middle East to discuss major geothermal investment projects aimed at furthering the sustainable development goals of the Federation.”

The outcomes of these meetings in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi) have the potential to significantly advance the Federation’s sustainable island state agenda. Successful partnerships forged during this time can pave the way for the implementation of Saint Kitts and Nevis’ innovative geothermal projects and serve as a model for other small island states.
