The Federal Cabinet has approved special duty-free concessions for non-commercial importers and travellers, effective December 1st 2026, to January 31st 2027.

The approved duty-free allowances include: Gift packages of foodstuff: The first 400lbs will be free of duties and taxes, non-commercial imports: A duty-free allowance of EC$675.00 (US$250.00) off the CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) value.

The Federal Government encourages all non-commercial importers and travellers to take advantage of these duty-free allowances, which will apply to goods landed within the Federation during the period.

The measures are designed to ease the financial burden on citizens and residents during the Christmas and Carnival seasons.

Additionally, the concessions will provide additional relief and complement the Discounted VAT Reduction Days (DVRD’s) on Dec. 11th and the 19th. The days are the final DVRD’s for 2026. Previously, DVRD’s were held on August 28th & 29th and Apr. 17th.
