St. Kitts and Nevis celebrates LENT

‘LENT’ in the Christian church is a period of penitential preparation for Easter. 

 

During this time churches and church leaders across St. Kitts and Nevis are currently engaged in Lent related activities such as the St. Paul’s Anglican Church’s Midday Lenten Service held every Wednesday at the church in Charlestown. 

 

In light of the season, Prophetess Dr. Debbie Isaac from Rivers of Living Waters Christian Center made these comments:

In Western churches, Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, six and a half weeks before Easter and provides a 40-day period for fasting and abstinence in imitation of Jesus Christ’s fasting in the wilderness before he began his public ministry.
