St. Kitts and Nevis citizens to remain vigilant of water related disasters so say Disaster Coordinator – Abdias Samuel
St. Kitts and Nevis was put on a Flash Flood Watch by local Meteorological officials on Monday, November 9th, 2020 and Wednesday, November 11th, 2020.
This was due to the presence of Tropical Disturbance AL98, resulting in periods of rain or showers, with some heavy and thundery conditions.
The Federation along with the rest of the Leeward Islands were expected to receive between 1 to 4 inches of rainfall.
Though the last advisory was lifted as at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11th, National Disaster Coordinator in St. Kitts, Mr. Abdias Samuel gave this caution to the general public:
